I feel fortunate to be part of this community to support and build relationships with children and families. Working with children is my passion. Back in my hometown in Guanajuato, Mexico my friends and I, being 16 years old, started a Summer program for children ages 6 to 12. We didn’t have much experience, but my friends and I planned and facilitated a variety of activities to make a memorable experience. That Summer was the beginning of many more fun and exciting Summers. Children’s development is fascinating and that is the reason why my passion became my profession. I have been working with children ages 3 months to 5 years since 2010. Being there for our younger generation is my commitment and my joy. Children's needs and rights must be taken seriously and I enjoy the journey together with them. Besides being a teacher, I am also a mother and a wife. During my free time, I like to cook with my family, walk at the beach or go hiking. California has great places to explore, and being out in nature is one of my favorite things to do.
